Fannie
Mae Foundation
The development and preservation of affordable housing is
increasingly recognized as an important component of
healthy communities and regional competitiveness. The presence
of affordable housing is one of several factors influencing
the stability and productivity of the workforce. As such,
there are many opportunities to increase corporate-community
partnerships associated with affordable housing.
The LGI team worked with the Fannie Mae Foundation
to leverage www.winwinpartner.com
on behalf of its grantees. Created and maintained by the LGI
team, winwinpartner.com was the first electronic information
clearinghouse for business executives and members of the business
media interested in win-win strategies: innovative
business strategies that achieve competitive advantage through
community investment. The Web site offers nonprofit organizations
seeking to engage business a unique and credible forum for
showcasing their value-added to businesses.
In addition to selecting Fannie Mae grantees to be profiled,
creating customized copy and links for the organizations,
LGI developed industry-specific architecture and content
on business and affordable housing. These organizations
benefited from LGI outreach and promotion
of the site.
Other LGI success stories relating to corporate community
partnerships include the Ford
Foundation Corporate Involvement Initiative, the
John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation,
and many others.
